 Rep Putnam Congressman Adam H. Putnam
Congressman Putnam has represented the people of Florida's 12th District
in the U.S. House of Representatives since January 2001, when at the age
of 26 he became one of the youngest members of Congress in history.
Today, no longer the youngest, he is a key member of the Committee on Financial Services, which oversees all components of the nation's housing and financial services sectors.

Michael V. Dunn was confirmed as a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission by the U.S. Senate in  2004.  He was nominated by President Bush and confirmed by the Senate to a second term in 2006. On January 20, 2009, Commissioner Dunn was chosen by his fellow Commissioners as Acting Chairman for the Agency. He will hold that position until a Chairman selected by President Obama is confirmed by the Senate.

Tom Farley is President and Chief Operating Officer of ICE Futures U.S., a New York-based soft commodity, currency and equity index futures exchange. Mr. Farley also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of both ICE Futures U.S. and ICE Clear U.S. Prior to joining ICE in February 2007, Mr. Farley was President of SunGard Kiodex, a risk management technology provider to the commodity derivatives markets. Prior to becoming President of SunGard Kiodex in 2006, Mr. Farley served as the business unit's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.  Mr. Farley has also held various positions in investment banking and private equity.

Chuck is a twenty-four-year veteran of political forecasting for institutional investors.  From 1995-2007, he worked for Prudential Financial, ultimately serving as senior vice president and head of Prudential Equity Group (PEG) Washington Research.  Having earned his stripes as an early eighties Capitol Hill staffer, Chuck is an expert on how Washington fiscal and regulatory policy impacts the banking, financial and defense industries.  He has also won plaudits for his strategic commentary relating to overall political trends, the investment implications of elections, budget and tax matters, and tort reform issues.

David A. Levy is the world's foremost expert in applying the powerful profits perspective to economic analysis. He scored his first professional forecasting coup (while still an undergraduate) when he predicted the explosive 1975 to 1980 growth of the labor force, which virtually everyone, including the Labor Department, failed to anticipate. Now, three decades later, he is widely recognized as one of the nation's most insightful and original economists and forecasters.
Nicholas Kouchoukos, Ph.D.
Director of Information Services, Lanworth
Dr. Kouchoukos, Director of Information Services for Lanworth, has over ten years of experience in geospatial analysis, multi-spectral remote sensing, and photogrammetry. His work includes the application of satellite imagery to the study of climatic and environmental changes, the design of remote sensing methods to document changing landscapes, and database design and development. He has designed and taught courses on remote sensing and geospatial analysis applications at both the University of Alabama and the University of Chicago. Dr. Kouchoukos received his education at Yale University. He currently manages and provides technical oversight for Lanworth's remote sensing and GIS operations.

Gregory Mocek
Partner, McDermott Will & Emery LLP

 

Gregory Mocek leads the Energy and Derivatives Practice Group Enforcement Defense Team at McDermott Will & Emery LLP.  Prior to this, he was the Director of Enforcement for the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission.  Mr Mocek managed the Commission’s enforcement investigations, policies, and litigation in the United States and abroad.  He also played a key role in high-profile CFTC cases against Enron, dozens of energy companies and traders.  Mr. Mocek helped lead the CFTC’s efforts to prosecute CEA violations and oversaw actions against more than 70 commodity pools and commodity trading advisors.

Joe Raia
Managing Director of Energy and Metals, CME Group

 

Joseph Raia is Managing Director of Energy and Metals at CME Group, with 28 years of experience in the energy and transportation sectors. Prior to his appointment in August 2008, he was senior vice president of marketing at NYMEX, a company he has been with since 2001. He was previously an energy industry consultant, most recently working for Aquila Energy in Kansas City. Earlier in his career, he worked for live financial news show JAGfn as both a senior vice president and as an anchor on energy issues. Raia is a graduate from the New York Maritime Academy and sailed on oil tankers until 1988. He lives in Chatham, New Jersey with his wife and three children.

Mr. Ritter opened Yannix in July 2005. His fascination with agricultural commodities remains undiminished after more than thirty years in the business. "Agriculture affects everything in the world," says Ritter  "and everything in the world affects agriculture. Under-standing where the economic stress points are and which way the political winds are blowing is extremely important. Our markets are a function of economic analysis, politics, and the weather," he says.
